Muffin Tin Monday

One of my favorite discoveries is Muffin Tin Monday (link includes FAQ)! It is pretty much giving your kids a meal in a muffin tin, just to shake things up a bit. It's also a way to introduce new foods in little portions. There is a different theme for each week. I think it is the coolest idea and I LOVE checking it out on Mondays and seeing what everyone has come up with for that week. I can't really participate quite yet since Baby Girl only eats baby food and some Gerber puffs, but I am SO excited to start this up when she's older. It may be sooner than I think, though, because Baby Girl recently cut her first tooth! Definitely head on over to Her Cup Overfloweth and check it out!

Book Worm Friday

Our library on base has storytime for the kids every Friday morning. Baby Girl loves to look at books and listen to me read, so I decided this was definitely something worth checking out. They sing songs, read a story, and just have fun! I have decided to try and go every Friday and also check out a new book to read to her each week. This week we picked up The Berenstain Bears' New Kitten by Stan and Jan Berenstain with Mike Berenstain.

It is a cute, simple book. The inside sleeve says "Brother Bear may have gone looking for bullfrogs, but he found a tiny, helpless kitten instead. After Mama Bear gets the new kitten all cleaned up, the Bear family is ready to adopt her - as long as Little Lady, the puppy, doesn't mind. With a little extra love, the Berenstains are sure their pets will be great friends! The Berenstains are charmed by this little kitten, and beginning readers will be, too!"

Baby Girl loves animals, especially our cat Ali, so it seemed perfect. One picture in particular was way too cute, because it shows the Baby Bear grabbing the cat's tail, and Baby Girl tends to do that to Ali!

Baby Girl loved to look at the pictures and point out the cat.

Well, this is something I would love to do each week but I need a good name for this weekly installment. If you have any ideas, please leave a comment!

Baby Steps

A few months ago my family and I entered the world of blogging. After doing so, I quickly found many blogs about family life that inspired me to be a better stay-at-home mom. My wonderful husband is in the Navy and about a year ago we had to move to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Well, shortly after getting here, we got pregnant and decided that my work would be in the home. I have always known that I wanted to stay at home with my children if at all possible. As much as I love it, it was definitely hard to get a routine down. But many of the blogs that I have come across have helped inspire me to create a better routine and have also given me countless ideas and crafts to do when our baby, who is 9 months old, is a little older. Anyway, I wanted to create a blog about the wonderful things I have found as well as my thoughts and ideas to hopefully help someone else out there that might need a little inspiration of their own! Plus, I have so much fun with the family blog I keep up to update our friends and family, I thought another creative blog where I can share and get ideas from others would be a lot of fun, too!

Oh, I have mentioned my husband and daughter (two of the A's)... who is the third A and the C? Well, we have one crazy little cat that we just adore and her name is Ali. And I am the lone C in the house. I hope you enjoy this blog and maybe leave with a new idea or two as it progresses.
